Safeguarding Course: December 2024

An equestrian safeguarding course open to members and non-members of the ABRS+

Course participants from Scotland, or who are expecting to work in Scotland, are required to undertake additional online training prior to the Course.  Contact the ABRS+ Office, on office@abrs-info.org, who will arrange access to the online material through SportsScotland.  Please ensure that you allow at least 2 weeks from requesting access to the date of Course delivery.  This will ensure that you have sufficient time to access and complete the online training.

Individuals who complete the course will receive a Safeguarding in Equestrian Sport Qualification.

This qualification is valid for three years and can go towards the requirements needed for The Certificate in Equestrian Coaching (1st4Sport). You can find out more about Safeguarding here.

The Workshop is adapted to run on video conferencing and have restricted numbers on a course so that the workshop can be interactive.

As it is hosted by Zoom, no travel is required but participants must have access to a computer or tablet, with a video and audio capability and good broadband.  Please note that the course can accommodate candidates from Scotland – where there are a number of differences in legislation.
