The ABRS+ are pleased to share the news that equestrian mental health and well-being resource Riders Minds have been awarded charitable status, marking a big milestone for the organisation. This is a huge step forward for the recognition of the importance that mental plays in the equestrian industry.
Riders Minds is a freely available online bespoke resource dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of all horse riders, drivers and equestrians. Formerly set up as a Community Interest Company, the Charity Commission for England and Wales approved the application to formally become a charity days after the first anniversary of Riders Minds joint founder Matthew Wright’s passing.
A spokesperson for Riders Minds said, “This is a huge step forwards for Riders Minds and we are delighted to receive recognition from the Charity Commission. Becoming a charity will strengthen our ability to collaborate with additional organisations; open up funding and fundraising opportunities that were not previously available; and most importantly, allow us to reach and support more people in our industry.”
All of the Riders Minds services are free, 100% confidential and accessible 24 hours a day. To find out more about Riders Minds and to access any of their services, you can visit the Riders Minds website
