Pass Wide and Slow

Pass Wide and Slow have contacted us to see if any of our members would be interested in organising a Pass Wide & Slow Awareness Ride/Drive this year.

One of the aims of the social media group is to get the message out to non equestrian motorists on how to pass equestrians safely on the roads.

Even though there were changes to the Highway Code last year there has been insufficient media coverage for equestrians and therefore it is even more important that these Ride/Drives happen again this year.  To date we have 150 registered nationwide.

They have had considerable success over the last few years in obtaining non equestrian media coverage including on prime time TV of this annual event which is all run by volunteers.

This year the social media group Pass Wide & Slow via its members, has obtained sufficient funds to have advertising on 35 buses going out in seven regions of the UK from 1st September to 4th October, all with the Pass Wide & Slow message on the rear of them.
