The Winter Jumping Competition went amazingly well, with schools up and down the UK entering into the spirt of the event. Most riders at riding schools do not get a chance to compete – this is normally reserved for those who are lucky enough to own their own horses and ponies. By using Equ-Rider and running the competition remotely, a whole new group of riders were able to experience the excitement of competition, while at the same time it generated a real team spirit in each of the competing schools.
From an ecological point of view, it also showed how we can compete without the need for vast road miles trailering horses up and down the country.
Speaking to Proprietors, it was also good for business – schools that competed saw several hundred pounds of extra income generated from training sessions and the actual competition.
We at the ABRS+ are thrilled to be able to bring this competition series to members and are so pleased that it was successful for both members and their clients. We want to thanks Maxence Bernard, who runs Equi-Rider for his, and his teams, amazing support.
For the Spring, we plan to run a 3-stage Prix Caprilli (May, Jun and July) with great prizes once again, and hope more ABRS+ members will sign up. We had a webinar on Monday to explain the Spring Competition and the recording can be found here for those who would like to know more;
